Artist's Comments
It came to a shock to everyone to find out that Stuart, aka 5tud4wg had suddenly passed away. Some of us only knew him in passing, put his presence was well known and while I can only speak for myself, but his contribution to the Myriad Path, a massive original character tournament of sorts, was a fantastic entry and for most of us, the way we met Stuart, if even briefly.
That said, we participating in the Myriad Path, and some of those just spectating, decided to pay tribute to Stuart who had left us all too soon. Within this tribute, we have received fantastic pieces from a myriad (no pun intended) of artists, each remembering 5tud4wg through his character in the Myriad Path, Carmen Lightbane. As you may have noticed in the preview image - this is currently a work in progress for two main reasons. First, I have talked with a number of people who haven't been able to complete their contribution to the tribute, and not wanting to be a jerk and not allowing them entry, I am giving everyone an extra week to submit their work. You'll notice at the bottom we still have plenty of spaces to fill - I would like to that filled up as much as possible. Second, while admittedly a pathetic reason, my mouse has gone wonky the last couple of days so I had to build this presentation thus far using only quickkeys and a laptop thumbpad - and I assure you doing as much in Flash is not entertaining. The additional week will allow me time to touch up the piece, add some extra effects, and all in all make it even better than it is now. As I mentioned above, the piece is WIP, meaning the link coding isn't complete (you can view a larger image, but can't hop to the original page). While the final version will have working hotlinking functions, I haven't gotten them in just yet. I was feeling horrible yesterday since all I had was a sketch... But now I can definitly get it done! (It won't be coloured though unfortunatly. D: The most I'd get in colour is some yellow chalk.. ) But at least I can still contribute to this!!
